Pinehurst Resort earned a No. 1 ranking by readers’ in their annual online survey of the World’s Best Golf Resorts.  Pinehurst earned a perfect 100 ranking.  Several of the questions included in the survey were:  What are the best golf resorts?  What are the best golf resorts for a golf-intensive buddy trip?  What are the best golf resorts for a family trip?  What is the most underrated golf resort?  What are the best resort courses? 

Officials from the Pinehurst Resort and the Magazine attributed the ranking to the recent announcement of the 2014 U.S. Open, continued upgrades and improved facilities including spa services and accommodations and an expanded and enhanced golf school.
